Mogette et L'Aventure du Canal Pas Banal: Part One

Do you know la différence
Between fake and real?
Between Info and 
Infaux?

In anglais australien, there is an expression:
"Fair Dinkum"
Une expression d'origine latine, almost never employée
In other English language variétés

Et qui signifie "authentique"...

Mogette was with some True Blue dinkum friends last week.

Voici une petite histoire illustrée

And for this aventure
Mogette went to Le Canal du Midi, bien sûr...

From La Roche sur Yon
To sunny Carcassonne
Is environ
Six hundred kilomètres
Of autoroute rapide et... payante...

Six hundred kilomètres, mas pal!
Ce n'est rien en Australie Occidentale
Avec une superficie de cinq fois la France
Deux millions et demi kilomètre carrés, pour information,
But seulement
Trois millions of habitants...

De toute façon...

Le Proprio et Mogette Miniature
Did zoom at cent trente à l'heure
From Vendée to Castelnaudary

They paused for lunch of cassoulet
A local spécialité
Made with Lingots de Vendée
Que les Vendéens on appelé...
"Mogettes"...

And after, on the autoroute
After a série of petites proûts
Mogette dixit à son compagnon:

"The day is beautiful cher Proprio
Il fait très beau,

For a little bit of fresh air,
While we look for our amis
Australiens over there...

...Le chemin qui va
 Vers Le Centre Ville
 Of a charming Roman town called Bram

On Le Chemin
...La Deuche  cria
"Here I am!"

Proprio met his colleagues antipodiens again...
Friends from nearly forty years ago!
With hugs (étreintes) and smiles...

 Retrouvailles!"
